This first-of-its-kind award recognizes Property insurance expertise, innovation, and leadership
New York – Nov. 19, 2020 – Gary Marchitello, Chairperson of Willis Tower Watson’s North American Property Practice, has received the 2020 Advisen Property Insurance Leadership Award, which recognizes an outstanding individual who is a property insurance coverage expert, innovator, leader, and mentor. Marchitello was chosen by the industry thought leaders on this year’s Property Insights Conference Advisory Board, including Brenda (Ballard) Austenfeld of RT Specialty; Duncan Ellis of AIG; Erik Nikodem of Everest Insurance; Theresa Purcell of Kushner; Vincent Reyda of FM Global; and Lori Seidenberg of BlackRock.
Marchitello has been broking property insurance for over 40 years. In his current role as Chairperson of Property Broking for Willis Towers Watson, he is responsible for the broking strategy encompassing all the firm’s North American property clients. Known for a hands-on role in program design and brokerage for strategic clients, Gary also manages relationships with Willis Towers Watson’s major insurer partners. Before that, Gary led the property insurance practices at Vandbridge LLC, Integro, and Aon. He began his career at Marsh where he managed the New York Property Practice.
