Advisen hosted a webinar on spear phishing attacks perpetrated by criminals who specialize in using deception and manipulation as a means to steal money from businesses and unsuspecting employees. Otherwise known as social engineering, these are sophisticated attacks, targeted at specific employees who are in a position to release corporate assets into social engineers’ devious possession.
On Tuesday August 25th, The United States Secret Service’s Chris DeMunbrun, The Hartford’s Bill Downes and Steven Vardilos, Wells Fargo’s Liz Olsson, and Advisen’s Rebecca Bole discussed human hacking and the tools needed to identify highly successful crimes of deception, as well as best practices that companies can implement and use to prevent this type of theft. This free, one-hour webinar is sponsored by The Hartford.
