Preview of Online Information and Benchmarking Service at RIMS

Risk Managers Get First Glimpse of New Insurance Service and Software

ATLANTA, April 29, 2001 – Advisen, Ltd., a provider of information and benchmarking services to the commercial insurance industry, announced today it will offer the first preview of its new service at the Risk and Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) annual conference.

The exhibit, held this year at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from April 29 through May 3, will be attended by thousands of risk professionals and over 400 exhibitors. Conference attendees are the first to see a demonstration of Advisen’s new service featuring cutting-edge benchmarking, analytic, and knowledge management capabilities.

“We view this as a key opportunity to demonstrate to our industry the kind of value we know Advisen will provide when it becomes commercially available later this year,” said Thomas P. Ruggieri, CEO of Advisen.

Advisen will be the only company at the conference to provide an online system that gives insurance and benefit professionals a way to benchmark their internal data against external standards, run complex analytics with a few clicks, and access state-of-the-art knowledge management and search capabilities.

Advisen is designed as an application service that will reside outside customer firewalls. The company will develop standard versions of the service, as well as more customized versions for specific installations.
