Data Share Partner Benefits

The advantages of running your policy data through Advisen are:

  1. Compare your data to our Advisen Aggregate. Know where your clients stand and quantify the advantage to your prospects. If you operate a national practice, you have a unique opportunity to illustrate to prosepcts how your abilities and carrier relationships can benefit them via quantifying your rate per million compared to our national aggregate. Where you have an advantage, your producers gain by demonstrating this to your prospects.
  2. Enable your Marketing department to know how their efforts perform for better negotiation with carriers. Where you have a pricing advantage or a disadvantage, consider how this knowledge changes your leverage.
  3. Leverage the data you already have now without further key entry. Use features like easy Chart Your Program, capture Ratings on Insurers and a host of ways to use your data for sales purposes and client management purposes. So, this last benefit is all about getting further utility out of data you already collect. For your account executives, Advisen turns your data into cross-selling tools that advance your relationships.
  4. ADD DATA BACK TO YOUR COMPANY. Once we’ve matched your companies to the Advisen Master File database, it’s relatively easy for us to return the data with additional Advisen datapoints back to you. For example, if you need the SIC code or FEIN number for each client, we can return the file with those deliverables.

What are the technical requirements?

We match your data via name/address to our Advisen Master File data of companies. That matching process is cumbersome for us, but it effectively enables us to take advantage of our other demographic databases for better benchmarking. We aim to capture premium, limit, retention, carrier and/or wholesaler, and start/end dates. Our Data Team confirms that the process is super-streamlined for users. We send you an extraction file and we walk your technical staff through loading the program and running it.

Security will rightly be a primary concern. Note that we use the same security protocols to collect program data from the 2,000 unique companies that contribute data to the RIMS Benchmark Survey.

Security measures to protect your data:

Since our inception, we have been audited multiple times to insure that we secure and protect all data entrusted to us by clients. Since late 2002, we have powered the RIMS Benchmark Survey and accordingly we have had to prove to countless Risk Managers that no brokerage or other third party will ever see their data.

We protect your data in four ways:

  1. Physical Security: Data is housed in separate aspects of our collection facility that are firewalled and distinct from the rest of Advisen programming. Only our data group (in a different physical location) sees your data and handles your data. No sales or customer support person sees your data unless you send it to that person.
  2. Technology Security: Our site is a single sign-on secured by a VeriSign SSL certificate (https site).
  3. Legal Contractual: Our contractual obligation between us and every unique data provider does not permit for any data to be shared ever or Advisen is in breach.
  4. Reputation Security: Having collected program data from more Risk Management departments in the history of the RIMS Survey, as well as countless brokers and wholesalers, a breach in that security would impact Advisen dramatically in a negative way and certainly destroy a large portion of our business.
