Schoenbach, Managing Director at Aon, has been awarded the second annual Transactional Liability Leadership Award at Advisen’s 2020 Transaction Insights Conference, held in New York on January 29. This prestigious award recognizes an outstanding individual who is a transaction liability coverage expert, innovator, leader, and mentor. The recipient is determined by the 12 industry thought-leaders who comprise this year’s Conference Advisory Board, led by 2020 Conference Chair Randy Hein, President of Berkley Transactional.
With over 35 years of diversified financial and insurance experience including 20 years at Aon managing the Aon M&A Transaction Solutions team, Michael Schoenbach has helped countless clients mitigate transaction-related risk using insurance as capital. During his career, he has developed products and placed numerous unique policies including both buy and sell side rep + warranty policies to transfer escrow and indemnity risk, various tax exposures, litigation, fraudulent conveyance, and other one-off transaction risks. He has also advised, coached, and influenced innumerable colleagues and counter-parties.
