NEW YORK— June 20, 2019 – Cyber risk professionals celebrated their industry and their peers at Advisen’s sixth annual Cyber Risk Awards gala event at Gotham Hall, with Bobbie Goldie of Chubb, Graeme Newman of CFC Underwriting, Brad Gow of Sompo International, and Bob Parisi of Marsh taking home individual honors.
Thousands of votes were cast in 12 categories for the 2019 Advisen Cyber Risk Awards, an occasion that has become the highlight of the year for cyber insurers, brokers, and service providers. Months of enthusiastic campaigning led up to the awards, which are determined purely by people’s choice and tabulated by Advisen.
Emcees Jeremy Gittler of AXA XL, Shannon Groeber of Marsh JLT Specialty, Graeme Newman of CFC Underwriting, Tom Srail of Willis Towers Watson, and Josh Ladeau of Aspen Insurance entertained the audience of over 450 people with insightful cyber commentary and wit, proving the industry can take on the risk – and take a joke.
Four individuals and 11 companies were recognized, including Bobbie Goldie, Graeme Newman, and Brad Gow, who were selected by voters as Cyber Risk Industry Person of the Year in the USA, London, and International markets respectively. Winning companies included CFC Underwriting as Cyber Risk Primary Insurer of the Year, Beazley as Cyber Risk Excess Insurer of the Year, and INSUREtrust as Cyber Risk Broking Team of the Year.
Bob Parisi of Marsh was honored as Cyber Champion of the Year, the only award chosen by Advisen’s editorial team.
