Who should attend an Advisen event?

Advisen events typically attract an audience of commercial insurance professionals. We invite risk managers to attend at no charge, so Risk Managers and insurance buyers make up about 20% – 25% of our audience. About a third of our audience is insurers (underwriting, claims, product development, marketing, etc.) About a third of our audience is brokers, too. The remainder is typically comprised of reinsurers, lawyers, and consultants.

What is appropriate event attire?

If you want to blend in, the vast majority of our attendees will be wearing business attire.

I am a broker looking for new business; are Advisen conferences applicable to me?

Advisen always invites Risk Managers to attend our events free of charge. So, if you’re a broker with room for more business in your book, consider attending.

I’m a Risk Manager. Should I attend an Advisen conference with my broker?

You are most welcome to attend our events with or without your broker.

What time do Advisen events end?

We take pride in running on-time conferences which adhere to our agenda schedules. Having said that, you won’t want to miss our post-event receptions that take place afterwards! All conference attendees are invited to attend free of charge.

Does Advisen offer refunds if I am unable to attend?

All event registration fees are non-refundable. Substitution of registrations may be made at any time. Sharing of Attendee passes is not permitted. Advisen also reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event at any time, and if so, you will then have the option of a refund. Advisen is not responsible for any other external or non-Advisen expenses you may incur in conjunction with our programs.

I have a special diet requirement; what are you serving?

Contact the Advisen events team if you have a special dietary requirement so that we can try to accommodate your needs.

What materials do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need business cards for networking and your smartphone or tablet for note-taking and connecting.

How late can I register for an Advisen conference?

We recommend you register as far in advance as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a space for you if you don’t register prior to an event. We will accommodate on-site registrations when possible, but typically at a higher rate. Please register in advance so we can make sure you have a badge waiting and enough food & beverages to satisfy you.
