NEW YORK – April 16, 2014 – Advisen Ltd., the single source solution for insurance intelligence, today announced the appointment of Mary Beth Borgwing as Executive Director of the Global Risk Professional Practice and the Cyber Risk Practice for Advisen. Borgwing is focused on expanding Advisen’s footprint by ensuring more relevant content is provided to risk professionals in all levels and areas of an organization. As part of these initiatives, the Advisen Risk Network will be launched on April 28th and will be reviewed with clients at RIMS in Denver, CO.
Borgwing brings decades of experience as a senior risk, finance, and insurance executive to Advisen. Borgwing founded Standish Risk Management in 2010 and focuses on bridging the gap between risk and business strategy at the enterprise level, creating results for the C-Suite. For the 10 years prior, Mary Beth led senior risk teams as an advisor to Fortune 500 clients of Marsh (MMC) and Willis Group Holdings (WSH). Prior to 2000, Mary Beth was the Chief Financial Officer of Vigilant Deloitte) and Sentillion (Microsoft) and spent her early career in accounting, auditing, and compliance in the financial services sector. Mary Beth is the East Coast Committee Chair of Cloud NOW (Cloud Network of Women), board of NYAIW (New York Association of Insurance Women) and is a contributing author to the Cyber Risk Network and other risk publications. She holds an MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management and a BSBA in Accounting, with a minor in Computer Science.
