UK data breaches declining; network security violations increasing

According to Advisen data, the percentage of UK cyber data breaches has been falling steadily since a high in 2007 while the percentage of network security violations has been on the uptick. Interestingly, the proportion of identity theft cases has fallen significantly since 2005. This chart breaks down the total number of cyber-related cases per year into its constituent case types.
