Analyzing Broker Compensation Practices

Advisen will conduct a survey on broker compensation practices.

“Which brokerage services do insureds value most?” and “How much do insureds pay for those brokerage services?” are some of the questions that our survey seeks to address.

The survey results will be presented in Advisen’s 2016 Insurance Broker/Agent Compensation and Services Report that will examine the data collected in the survey and compare it to similar data gathered in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2014. We also anticipate the inclusion of other pertinent information, such as broker market share data, fees and commissions as percent of premium, and fees versus commissions by industry.

Another interesting portion of the report will be the comparison between the views of brokers and insurance buyers about the importance of brokerage services and other key topics.
