Natural and Man-made Catastrophes in 2015 – Calm before the storm?

However, a glance at the longer term statistics reminds us that we should be cautious about becoming inadvertently complacent. The Protection Gap – the difference between economic and insured losses – is growing while we have witnessed an increase in losses stemming from developing economies.
